I think the approximately just means it depends on order flow? Like with the 8 models they probably require pretty different amounts of time per unit across the model range, so there’s an optimization exercise to be done after they get the requests and then decide allocations?

Ron is a kind humanist and we love him for it… but ‘Capital of the Hunger Games president Snow 😂🎯. And you’re correct - virtually every event is an effort to one up the last event’s watch. But where to go after a gold Roger Smith? I’m sure he’s got a team working on it now. Ghost Zuck will find something that makes a Roger Smith look shabby by the next thing he attends!

Well, he might discover vintage…

Naoya Hida- love the watches, hate the allocation process which reflects very poorly on the man behind the brand.

He expects collectors to hand in homework - write an essay on how much you love him and why you absolutely deserve an allocation over the other good little girls and boys... While handing out allocations willy nilly to high profile collectors & influencers.

It is very gratifying to see his pieces showing up on the secondary market.

Of all the flawed ways to navigate the market for oversubscribed watches, this is surely the one guaranteed to annoy the most people :-)

Probably not what you expected, but let's have a go nonetheless: What if Zuck, the guy whose whole life has been centered around the digital and the virtual, has actually fallen in love with mechanical watches like we humans? Perhaps there is no ulterior motive?

P.S. If I ran into him, for shits and giggles I would have said "Nice watch, I admire your Benzinger G.A.P 2." No disrespect intended towards Jochen Benzinger nor Richard & Maria Habring.

No! Surely not!

Benzinger I know of, and Habring2 I know well, but I had to google the GAP 2... thanks for adding to my knowledge.
